Welcome to Stream Unchained — Geo-Free Streaming, Done Right

Welcome to Stream Unchained

Streaming was supposed to free us from cable. Then it fragmented into thirty different subscriptions, each with a regional library, each blocking the show you actually want to watch the moment you cross a border.

Stream Unchained exists to fix that. Or at least to help you fix it. We cover three things:

Streaming services, ranked honestly

Netflix has 6,000+ titles in the US and barely 3,000 in some EU countries. Disney+ rotates Marvel exclusives by region. Hulu is US-only. Apple TV+ has a tiny but excellent original catalog. Amazon Prime Video bundles in a billion useless freebies to inflate its number. We rank them by what’s actually watchable, country by country, updated every quarter.

VPNs for streaming (which is its own science)

Most VPNs claim Netflix support. About four actually deliver it reliably across multiple regions, with 4K bandwidth, without getting blacklisted within a week. We run weekly tests on the top providers — NordVPN, ExpressVPN, Surfshark, Mullvad, Proton, Windscribe — across US, UK, JP, BR, DE servers, on Netflix, Disney+, BBC iPlayer, Hulu, Max, and Crunchyroll. The leaderboard updates every Monday.

IPTV and alternative providers

A grey-zone topic, but we cover it the way Consumer Reports would. What’s the difference between a legitimate IPTV reseller and a piracy operation? Why are most “lifetime IPTV” offers scams? Which legal regional sports services give you what you actually want (Fubo, DAZN, ESPN+) and what they don’t? We help you navigate it.

Stream Unchained Weekly

Our newsletter goes out every Friday. It covers: new shows worth watching, services adding or losing big titles, the latest VPN-vs-streaming-service arms-race round, and any major IPTV news (legal action, new providers, common scams to avoid).

Disclosure

We earn commissions on some VPN and streaming-service links. We rank by quality, not commission. If a service rips you off, we’ll tell you — and the affiliate link will get pulled.
